Globe-athon is an unprecedented, international call-to-action that will shine a light on the under the radar, below the belt cancers. Join us and help us to kickstart a movement long overdue. It takes just one step to make a world of difference! From the United States to Ghana, from Austria to Antarctica, from Peru to South Korea, people from all over the world are joining in the first ever international relay for GYN Cancers. On the weekend of September 29, 2013, participants in over 60 countries will make history by walking in solidarity with each other and with millions of women and families affected by gynecologic cancers.  Here is an easy check list for you to choose how you would like to be involved!  

If you are in or around our Nation’s Capital we invite you to join us as we walk and run around the White House for 24 hours.

But don’t worry, we have provided a list of things you can do sitting at your desk this morning! 

1. Register (for free) to walk or run around the White House and/or or participate in community events in at McPhearson Square including Zumba, Yoga and more: go to the Globe-athon website at www.globeathon.com for the D.C. events that include exercise classes at our staging tent (McPhearson Square) 

2. Participate in the Social Media discussion:  http://www.globeathon.com, Twitter@GlobeathonFacebook Globe-athon (community)! We will be holding a TweetChat hosted by @AkiaGarnett the entire day of the Globeathon so be sure to add @AkiaGarnett to your Twitter feed and follow her and @Globeathon that day! The hashtags for the Twitter event will be #MyBrandChat and #Globeathon! We need social media volunteers the day of the event, so let us know you would live to volunteer to work with Akia Garnett and share updates throughout the day from reports around the world! 3. Volunteer:  if you cant walk at any local event, volunteer to support the local effort.  Contact Debbie at debbie.lehardy@gmail.com to let us know how you would like to be involved    

4.  Fundraise:  raise funds and make a donation to the National race to End Women’s Cancer
